Cover Reveal: Ethnic Albanians Need Not Apply

Here’s the cover for the upcoming first print volume of CheapCaffeine comics:

cheapcaffeinecover1[1]

Expect it to be available in a week or so, unless I have problems with the CreateSpace proof copy.

In addition, there will be a special “sketch” edition, only available (for the foreseeable future) at conventions and other venues where I am in attendance. The first page will have space for a made-to-request sketch by yours truly (largely to prove that yes, I can draw).

  1. Nathan, it’s gorgeous! Well done. Brava, sir. Brava!
(Seriously proving that you can indeed design book covers that are the complete opposite of lousy.)

  2. Could I perhaps interest you in some really very colorful stock photography? No? Perhaps some lovely clip art. You can just cut and paste it right on top of your, er, lovely, uh, illustration?

I mean really, even crayons or magic markers might at least bring you some color.

More importantly – get your backside up off your parents’ couch, quit playing video games, and go mow the lawn!

  3. Got my copy of your book yesterday and I’ve already consumed 1/3 of it. Loving every page. It’s amazing how many of these that I’ve read over the past year on your webpage are coming back to me. When I’m done reading it, it’s going on my bookshelf right between my “Calvin & Hobbes” and “Bloom County” collections.

Nathan, this is good stuff. Something the comic world is missing is intellectual comics. There really have been none since Breathed stopped writing “Bloom County” / “Outland” / “Opus”. There is a void out there that needs filling. Have you ever considered syndication? I think you might have something here.

Of course I can’t end my comments without mentioning comic #46. You added a note at the bottom discussing some spelling issues you had with the comic. (Love the random notes, BTW). But in your note, you had a spelling error. OH THE IRONY! 🙂

Keep up the good work. Looking forward already to volume #2 next year!

    1. Thank you, sir! And that misspelling in the notes for comic #46? That’s an easter egg just for you.
