Obviously, they don’t get many guys like that in this cop’s neighborhood.
Reminds me of a time a brother of mine, a computer programmer with a nice salary, took a wrong turn and got lost in a Chicago slum. Nobody accosted him outright, but in his nice clothes he got a lot of suspicious stares and heard a lot of muttering and somebody yelled “Hey, man, nice jacket!” at him. Finally, some old guy came up to him and told him “If you’re looking for drugs, we don’t deal that $#!^ around here.” Then he pointed my brother back to the better parts of town he’d been trying to reach in the first place.
