Fun fact: while “Gröynhumpper” (which—with that umlaut—would be pronounced something like “groo-ayen-hump-er”) was obviously just made up for this strip, “Engelbert Humperdinck” is the very real name of a 19th century German composer and the stage name of a certain rather successful 20th century British singer who named himself after him. (“Humperdinck” was probably already a bit embarrassing when a “dink” came to be a slang term referring to a manly part deemed rather deficient in size, but it’s gotten even worse since The Princess Bride‘s movie adaptation got released.)
