Apologies, folk, for my absence; the server on which my site was hosted (run by Hostivia.com) chose to audition for the leading role in the “dead parrot” sketch, and the Hostivia techs discovered — to their utter surprise, I’m sure — that the backups hadn’t been running. Needless to say, my hosting dollars are now being directed in a new direction, to Hostgator.
