Yep. The market for scales and slime—while it does exist—is pretty limited, whereas fluff and fur remain popular for just about everybody. Case in point: sure, some people have pet lizards, snakes, turtles, fish, and the like; but how many more prefer to own cats, dogs, and/or other fluffy warm-blooded mammals?
